Stokesville Gravel Little Switzerland Pre Ride
If you are planning to race the Stokesville Gravel Series Little Switzerland Race maybe consider showing up on Saturday and pre riding the first and last 16 miles with us. We are going to tackle these miles at a leisurely pace to give y’all an idea of what your in for during Sunday’s race.
Gravel Curious.
What is gravel? Is it fun to ride? What kind of bike do I need? What’s the effort like? If you have been asking yourself these questions or similar questions then this weekend may be right for you. Think of these two rides as an intro to gravel, a toe wetting, that could either keep you on pavement or throw you down the deep dark rabbit hole of grinding off road. We bet it will be the latter.
No Guts. No Gravel. Unfortunately cancelled due to permitting issues.
This two day weekend will hold rides not for the faint of heart. Longer days, with more challenging terrain, and lots of climbing. If doing this weekend you are expected to be able to avg 14 mph on a 100ft of climbing/ mile route (Example: 60 miles= 6,000ft of climbing). All that sounds rough but the views and camaraderie will ease the pain. Misery does love company.
